what a day this saturday has been. it began for me with an earrrrly morning walk and then several cups of coffee before heading to ridge ferry park. pb and i had to be there at 9:30 for em's crbi (coosa river basin initiative) 4th grade quiz bowl tournament. 8 students were chosen from her class to compete with other 4th graders in our area in a bowl game. the subject: rivers. and stuff related to the rivers in rome and surrounding counties. following that, wil had 3 lacrosse games. the tigers won 2 and lost 1. wil got sent to the penalty box. amazing. we loved it. following that, we took pb's mom, kiska, to dinner for her birthday. she and lizzie came for the lax game so we decided to do dinner afterwards. her birthday was in...january. we came home after crbi-lacrosse blowout day, showered and met liz and kiska at harvest moon for the very belated celebration. julia joined us as well. just for kiska, we requested our favorite waiter, luis, to wait on us. he is from equador and the stereotypical latin hot guy...in a good way. kiska is a fan.
it was a fun-filled day followed by a great dinner. quality time with family and good friends. i think kiska enjoyed the food, beer and company. and the waiter. dessert was several forks and a plate of chocolate goodness. feliz cumpleanos, kiska!
