helllooo october!!! all of a sudden it is reallllly fall. we celebrated fall for the arts at school last friday...our annual, all school, fine arts festival. i have been consumed with this for weeks and now it's over. always such a fun day. wil and a few of his friends helped me at my painting booth. i taught most of them, so it was a bittersweet afternoon...they are growing up way too fast. we are displaying the mini masterpieces that everyone created that afternoon at honeymoon bakery. if you are in rome, stop by and have a cupcake...and see the work!

despite the busyness of the month, i have been collecting some things that are of interest to me this fall. a theme of tan/camel and red seems prevalent. i am not much of a red person, but i do love it in this color scheme. here are some likes.

next to seda france's japanese quince, this is my favorite candle.

i love anything j. brand makes. it is the perfect fitting jean. i broke down and got the red ones, now they have camel. possibilities are endless.......

this yummy drink that we made when liz was in town a few weekends ago. cider, ginger ale, and bourbon. the freshly sliced apple is key. there are several spin offs of this recipe in the works for later this fall...

not a camel or a red thing but a must-have nail product. opi's start to finish base and top coat. makes the at-home-manicure or any touch ups, really easy.

and in keeping with the "tan" theme, this just cracked me up. this is for my friend, jbp. girrrlllll....

and fun fact for the day: U2's album, october (one of my favorites), was released on october 12th, 1981. (30 years ago tomorrow...wow).
