get up, get up, get up, get up

my childhood bff is getting married in march!!! we are helping to host a party for the happy couple in a few weeks. the date happens to fall on valentine's day weekend, so we couldn't have asked for a better theme! we decided to really play it up...heart shaped lights on our porch, a signature valentine cocktail, champagne, red velvet cupcakes, conversation hearts and the best play list ever to complete the night. i celebrated being home for mlk day by spending way too may hours in front of the computer, sampling songs from our itunes library and carefully compiling a list of love songs....over 150 at this point. if you had to pick some of your all time favorite love songs, what would they be? we didn't want anything too sappy or too slow. just the classics, anything 80's and anything that would make you want to dance. it was a walk down memory lane, listening to some of these tunes. pb and i worked on it some more last night and think we have come up with a stellar list that will be perfect for this party.
