happy anniversary

we started this blog one year ago. i meant to do an anniversary edition but the date slipped by me. our first post is here:

so over 10,000 views and so many appreciated comments later, we are celebrating our one year blog anniversary. our very first post was on palm sunday and we enjoyed breakfast for dinner that night. we continued the tradition yesterday with our 2nd annual palm sunday breakfast for dinner. delicious. bacon, eggs, cinnamon almond waffles and hot syrup.

this blog has been such a great thing for us. when i read back through our archives, i realize how precious our life is and how much i have to be thankful for every day. and how i was tricked into doing the whole thing. i can recall what was going on with me personally just by the tone of the writing. i can read about the seasons of this past year and remember exactly what we were all doing. it is priceless. i still haven't figured out the best way to preserve this for wil and em but i think they will want it one day. every once in a while, they will sit down and catch up on the latest postings (em more than wil). i don't think they have been too embarrassed yet.

the painting was one i did for the first small art show i had at home. another great and pivotal time in my life that i love to remember.
